1. Who we are

Build Test Run LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates SettleDue, a time-tracking and invoicing application at settledue.com and app.settledue.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. What we collect

We collect the data you give us when you create an account and use the service:

• Account data: your name, email address, and password.
• Business data: clients, contacts, timesheets, invoices, estimates, expenses, payments, and billing details you enter (your address, phone number, hourly rate).
• Usage data: pages you visit, browser type, IP address, and device information. We collect this through server logs and analytics tools.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Operate the service: log you in, show your records, create invoices, and send emails you request.
• Process your subscription payments through our payment provider.
• Send service emails: password resets, billing notices, and important product updates.
• Improve the product: understand how people use features so we can make them better.

We do not sell or rent your personal or business data to anyone.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to run SettleDue:

• Stripe processes subscription payments. Stripe receives your payment card details directly. We do not store your full card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Resend delivers transactional emails (invoice delivery, password resets). Resend receives the recipient address and message content for the sole purpose of delivery.
• Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type). We use this to understand traffic and improve the site. See Google’s privacy policy.

We do not share your data with other third parties except when required by law.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use cookies set by Google Analytics to measure site traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or build advertising profiles.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your data from the application. Backups may hold copies for up to 30 days as part of normal operations.

7. Children’s privacy

SettleDue is a business tool. It is not for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures. Passwords are hashed, sessions are protected, data is encrypted in transit, and access requires authentication. No method of storage or transmission on the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings. You can also contact us to make a request. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

11. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
